By developing meaningful partnerships with not-for-profit organizations and giving our time and expertise in addition to financial support, ATCO Electric and its employees are doing their part to help create healthy, vibrant communities throughout Alberta.

Key Areas of Focus

ATCO Electric gives top priority to organizations or causes that support our four key areas of focus:

  1. Community Safety:  Education and prevention programs or initiatives that promote safety in the home or at work.  Special emphasis is placed on electrical safety education for ATCO Electric customers and their families; as well as in the commercial and residential construction industry.  Fire and emergency services are also a key area of focus.
  2. Environment:  Projects or initiatives that help nurture or contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment.
  3. Education:  As a major employer of skilled trades people throughout the province, we see real value in helping grow our future workforce.  Projects or initiatives in this category help create a well-trained, highly motivated and fully inclusive workforce through the promotion of the trades to Alberta youth.
  4. Community:  Community projects or initiatives that strengthen the foundation of ATCO Electric service communities - health and wellness, arts and culture, economic growth, and community infrastructure.  Projects or initiatives must benefit a broad segment of the community, address an important community priority, and provide a significant and unique contribution to community life.
