ATCO Honors Photographic Excellence

Alberta’s weekly newspapers are an integral part of Alberta’s communities.
 

For more than 85 years, weekly newspapers in Alberta have served our communities with a steadfast and professional commitment to reporting the news, celebrating their communities’ growth and honoring their citizens’ service and accomplishments. Their dedication is mirrored by the Alberta Weekly Newspapers Association (AWNA) which boasts 113 member newspapers throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

We share this commitment to the vitality of our rural communities and recognize the important contributions AWNA members provide to the sustainability of the rural way of life.

ATCO is the title sponsor of the annual Photographic Awards for AWNA. The awards honour photographic excellence in several categories of photojournalists from weekly newspapers across the province.
